| I have been a railway modeller for many years
but like many had a long break from the hobby while my life was too busy. My return to
railway modelling saw me having a go at 009 freelance modelling. I
met Sheila, who got hooked on the detail modelling side of our hobby and
in 2005 we built 'Newton Halt' a micro freelance 009 model railway.
Sheila introduced me to the idea of a model railway having to look good
even without the trains. Anyway, fast forward to an 009
area group meeting when we were unofficially introduced to radio
controlled steam loco operation on David Judd's garden railway, and we
both got hooked. We are still 009 modellers but we are also
working hard to build 'The Crowfoot
Light Railway' a 16mm/ft 32mm gauge railway in our back garden.
As our main model railway interests cover two distinct areas of the
hobby we have split this website into a 4mm/ft section and 16mm/ft
section. We have provided home pages for each of these parts of
this website and links to them in the left column on every page of this
website. Access to either of these home pages will offer further
access to a number of related sub pages.
Best wishes
