GARDEN RAILWAYS

My second garden railway visit and my loco had to sit motionless in a siding as I'd previously put it away without switching the power off.

New name plates temporarily fitted

Gone back to Brandbright for minor attention

LOCOMOTIVES

Roundhouse 'Criccieth Castle' diesel

What a super powerful and practical locomotive to have for freight haulage and standby for failed steam locomotives?  The only changes we've made to this model is to requisition the manufacture of new name plates 'Powis Castle', which of course never existed as a locomotive name but continues our railways links with The Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway.   We also used two white metal figures from the 'Perfect People' range as permanent crew members though we had to cut off their feet and half their lower legs in order that their faces can be seen.

Accucraft 'Countess' steam locomotive

This well known model has been returned to Brandbright for some very minor attention, so is not with us at present.  Our locomotive is the GWR green version with radio control.   Everyone I've shown the model to is very impressed with it and I'm really looking forward to running on the CLR.

The next locomotive

No more 16mm/ft locomotives on the cards at this time but I can still dream.  A Roundhouse Silver Lady or Billy (with 4 wheel tender) or the new Atlantic in black or a Darjeeling class B in blue or a Beyer Garratt of some form or another.   Don't want much, do I?
